Purple monti cap

I recently got a purple monti cap from a fellow reefer, however it is not pruple. It is brown, what do I need to do to get it to color up nicely?

new to monties also, but i think more light will help. try moving up higher in tank. maybe someone who knows will chime in who knows for sure

Well what type of lights do you have first and how deep is your tank?

Start it off lower in the tank to let it adjust. Then move it where you want. A big problem a lot of people have is moving frags around too much.

My purple monti took about 1 1/2 months to color up from brownish/ purple to true purple. Just let it adjust to the lighting, it takes time.
