Purple tang addition question

I have had my purple tang in QT for about 4-5 weeks. I think it is time to add him to the tank. I know that purple tangs are notorious for being aggressive, but is that towards all fish or only larger fish? I am thinking that I may want to add a wrasse or blenny in the future - will he attack them? Should I get everything I want and make him the absolute last addition? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

They are usually not very aggressive towards fish that are not similar on colour and body shape.Wrasse and blennies should be pretty safe. :)

Generally, IME, fish mainly are agressive to similar sized or similar type fish. I am assuming that the wrasse or blenny will be both a different size and type, so there should be limited if any aggression.

I have a purple in my tank, and have added many fish subsequently without any issues ( including an Achilles Tang). Only fish the purple had issues with was my yellow tang; not surprising though.

If it's going into your 90 gal I would not add a blenny...except a midas blenny. While the purple tang might ignore other blennies I would not have multiple herbivores in a system that size.

I have several tangs - a yellow, a naso, a hippo, a tomini and a powder blue, added in that order. None really show any aggression to the others, though the yellow did beat up a copperband butterfly I tried to add a month or so ago so I had to remove the CBB.

I'm wondering if I could add either a kole, a blonde naso, a purple, or a desjardini.

I'm wondering if the kole and tomini would fight?

If the naso (maybe the most peaceful fish in my tank) and a blonde naso would fight?

If a purple or desjardini is likely to fight with the yellow (or anyone else)?

Tank is 260 gal.
