Purple Tang Compatability

I was given a Purple Tang by a neighbor that is tearing down his tank. Right now I have a 120G holding tank w/ a yellow tang. They will eventually go into a very big tank, but right now I only have the 120 set up. Would these guys be okay in the tank together for a few weeks, or should I just give it to the LFS? I have a blue tang, a fire goby, and 6 line wrasse, and a clown in there right now.

I think it should be ok, but if not, I would definitely keep the purple tang and sent the yellow tang to fellow reefers.

Yellow in general are more territorial then other tangs (from what I have read). It also has an established territory in the tank so if you introduce the purple you may have problems. I also hear tangs are more aggressive toward other tangs with the same body types. If you want to keep both it may be a good idea to move a few rocks around.

there shouldnt be any agression.. maybe at first but later on they will find their own territories.. being a 120g its big enough for the two of them to swim around happily
