Purple tang eye injury

So, yesterday my purple tang was having a go at my yellow and he got grazed on the eye. It doesn't look like a deep cut, so I'm not *terribly* worried at this point. My biggest concern is infection... does anyone have experience with eye injuries? Do they heal just fine on their own? Here are some pictures for your reference... sorry about the quality.

I saw this happen so I'm sure it isn't disease of any kind. I am also sure that the white spot near his dorsal fin is a grain of my crappy sugar sand, not ich! I'm doing away with that wretched sand when I put the new tank up.

If it's just a superficial abrasion, it should heal in a few days. I would keep an eye on him (no pun intended) to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Thanks for your reply! It doesn't look any worse today, but no better either. If it takes a turn for the worse, I'll try to take more pictures to post and hopefully we can figure out what to do for him. Again, really appreciate the input.
