Purple Tang F/S

Possibly...I'm in the processes of breaking down my 125g and I have a medium size Purple Tang that would need to go first. I saw one selling on here a month or so ago. What is a fair price? I LOVE this fish and is the only reason I have keep the 125g running. I hate to see "him" or "her" go, but it's time to get out of the hobby. Would need to go to a good home (advanced) hobbyist as this is a strong and healthy fish...:sad1:buy the way, its the tang on my profile picture.

Yea FAOIS on many occasions has them for $99. They are usually small to medium so with a larger specimen you could ask for a bit more. Like you said I would be more concerned about it going to someone that will be able to take good care of it. Not someone that would try to put him in a 90 gallon with an established yellow tang or something like that! But selling him on here is definitely your best bet. Good luck!

I've seen them at stores for 80, but what you described doesn't sound like your average $80 fish. I'd sell him to someone with a big tank that knows it will be compatible with its other tank mates. I have one, and when they are allowed to thrive, are a beautiful fish Good Luck!
