Purple Tang Help

My Purple Tang just today developed white splotches on the sides. I'm pretty sure this is not ICH. Looks more like maybe the bubble anenome may have got him. Does this sound resonable? My clown fish uses it as a refuge from the Tang as he is very territorial and the anenome took over his cave.

Well, I got no replies on this one, but the splotches on my Purple Tang have now gone away. I guess I will have to presume he brushed up against a anenome of coral the stung him.

How long was he like this?

If it was a sting I would be more apt to see something more.

Are you sure he just wasn't a little stressed and was changing colors?

Hmm, funny my blue tang has a couple spots like this today. Just developed a few hours ago. But then again I just put in 2 more of my "baby" RBTA's. I thought it might be internal bacteria because I had heard about that causing discoloring "spots". I will keep an eye on mine too and let you know!!

The Purple Tang got it again this evening. The white blotches. I think what is happening is the Maroon Clown is coming out when he swims by and then retreats to the Anenome as soon as the Purple tries to retaliate. The spots go away in about an hour and he is fully colored again. My Purple Tang has not been a happy camper since I introduced the Clown and Anenome, since they took over his cave. He has now starting nipping at everything. Clams, Corals, Blenny, any suggestions.
Anyone know a Fish Whisperer?

Well, actually I did have my LFS guy bring me some more live rock with that very thing in mind. We did build another ledge and cave but Purple wanted HIS. What happened was we introduced the BTA on the far left side of my 75 behind a big rock. This thing is HUGE. It came out soon there after and looked fine. Sometime during the night he decided he wanted to move. I had a Yellow Corn Anenome close to the entrance of the main cave. Obiviously when the BTA moved in he moved out. The Clown immediately took up with it. The Purple is totally ignoring the new structure.
By the way, thanks for the reply.

well, my guys spots are gone. I'll let you know if it reapears. Can an anemone sting really look like this? (white splotch, inner most part the whitest with the rest of the outside more faded). .
