Purple tang looks like a blueberry

Well, I never seen anything like it. I hope someone will chime in with their thoughts on what caused this.
I bought a purple tang 1 1/2 weeks ago, and after two days came down with ick. I had experience with tangs before and had him in quarantine right from the beginning. I brought the tank down to hypo salinity, and the tang was fine for a week, eating and swimming around. The last two days the tang has been lethargic, stopped eating, and has now swelled in the stomack area, to a point that some of his intestines have come out like a balloon. I added a broad spectrum antibotic to the water. ammonia is fine, I use a seachem ammonia alert when using a quarantine tank. anyone every have a fish do this? I am about ready to put it out of his misery.

How's your Ph? I've lost tangs doing hypo because the Ph dropped dramatically over a few days in my QT. I lost a purple tang, clown tang, Yellow belly hippo, and yellow. Now I have a 125 gallon Invert only tank.

Are you sure it's intestines and not parasites? This sounds ugly.

Ph is 8.0, and I blieve it's intestines. His whole body is swelled and that is the only place for them to exit. It's not pretty. I suspect cynide poisoning, I hear it tears the intestines up.
