Just monitor and bump you Ca alk and mag levels to proper levels and throw the purple up away. It's a voodoo product marketed so people get rich off the consumer beleiving that it works. There are things in the purple up you cannot measure or test for.
If you get your parameters where they should be, you will have coraline (pending that you have live rock with coraline already introduced into the system) in short order. For me it starts on the rocks and plastic and then slowly works it's way onto the glass. After that, hang on... It's not so fun and cool after you scrape it for a few years:lol:
