Putting Together a 40g Stock List

i have a bare bottom 40g breeder and i'm trying to put together a list of fish to add (not all at once of course )
so far i know i a few i want which are:

2 clownfish
3 Blue reef Chromis

annnnnd so far that's what i know i definitely want.

is there any anthias that can be housed in 40g? i really like the look of them but it seems most of this species need larger tanks.

i like blennies they have funny personalities and dwarf angelfish but i hear they can nip at corals?

Chromis typically widdle themselves down to just one, but sometimes two if you're lucky.

Outside what you have I would consider looking at the tailspot blenny. A fish I have wanted for awhile now, but keep finding other fish. :lol: For some other fish I would consider the black cap basslet (Gramma melacara) or the Swale's Basslet (Liopropoma swalesi). A watchman goby with a pistol shrimp would also be an interesting addition to the tank. Just a couple suggestions for your tank.

Do pistolshrimp goby pairs need sand?

They would need 2-3" of sand on the bottom, is your tank a barebottom?
