pvc glue question

howdy all,
i went to plumb my new 60g cube today....then started thinking....what the hell do i adhere my pvc together with? its schedule 40......do i use the normal weld on primer and glue? is that safe with the water? thx in advance

normal pvc cement will be fine. make sure to give it time to fully "cure" before adding water to your system I personally don't bother with the primer but I know others who have without problems. (Always run the tank with freshwater for awhile to check all of the fittings for leaks before using up expensive salt...)

i use both primer and pvc cement with no problems, like artful stated just wait for curing before water use
