FIRST OFF, ID LIKE TO THANK YOSE FOR ALL THE HELP SO FAR AND FOR THE HELP THAT HE WILL GIVE ME IN THE FUTURE.

I AM PLUMBING A NEW 70 GALLON REEF TANK. MY MIND IS CONSTANTLY THINKING OF WAYS TO DO IT, AND NOW I NEED TO MAKE SOME DECISIONS.I WANT IT TO BE RIGHT THE FISRT TIME I BUILD IT, SO I DONT NEED TO CONSTANTLY TEAR DOWN AND REBUILD. ALL SUGGESTIOS ARE WELCOME.

TANK DESCRIPTION: 70 GALLON PRE-DRILLED TANK WITH 1" DRAIN OVER FLOW AND 3/4 RETURN.

I HAD PLANNED ON USING A BLUELINE 70 BUT THE RETURN ON THAT IS 1" AND THE TANK IS DRILLED FOR 3/4. IS THERE A BETTER PUMP THEN THE BLUE LINE, OR SHALL I GET THE BLUELINE AND JUST REDUCE IT TO 3/4.

WILL I GET MORE FLOW OUT OF FLEXIBLE PIPE, OR SHALL I RUN IT IN PVC??

Welcome to RC. First all caps generally means your YELLING. Sorry anyway the flexible PVC spa-flex is great for plumbing tanks. You get the advantages of being able to use all the commonily available pvc fitting and it is still fexible. You can run all of your plumbing choices thru the Head loss calc to find out which one is best.

Blueline are great pumps and a good start
Good luck

interesting the site liste dfor the spa flex states FlexPVC is not suitable for pottable (drinking) water applications. Kinda scary if used in a reef situation.
