Pyle and exquisite fariy wrasse aggression

So, I just introduced a pair of Pyle fairy wrasses (Cirrhilabrus pylei) into my 150 display that already contained a pair of Exquisite Fairy wrasses (Cirrhilabrus exquisitus). The exquisites had been in the tank for about 8 weeks. I did the social acclimation thing with a breeder box, and no agression was shown for the two days the pyles were in the breeder. When they were released into the tank, the Pyles male, and the exqisite male started displaying for each other. There was some minor chansing, but nothing major. Now the Exqisite is extremely beaten up. There is not constant chasing, just occasional, but the exquisite has taken the brunt of the aggression it seems.

My main question is should I try to remove the Exquisite or let them be. Like I said, it seems that most of the aggression has died down, but the Exquisite is looking in pretty rough shape. Thanks in advance for any help.

the pylei will continue to harass the exquisite. usually in the rocks, out of site. chasing it into rocks and roughing it up on the decor and rockwork. I would choose a pair. will also chase it up and out of the tank if possible. good luck.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I had tried to do my research (including reading the whole fariy wrasse thread on this board) and could find very little info on the pyles. I have read both that they tend to be agressive and that they are fine with others as long as different shape and color scheme. Looks like mine is going to be agressive. I will probably have to try and catch the pyles pair, as the exquisites are some of my favorites, and I had planned on adding at least one more pair of fairies.

I am going to try and get my fish trap back today to begin trying to catch the Pyles, but before I get rid of them, does anybody have any suggestions on tricks that may make this combination work? I really like both of these fish, and if there is a way to get them to coexist I am willing to try it. Thanks.

I have both a male Pyles and male Exquisite and the Pyles was very aggressive to the Exquisite at first. I took a while for them to work it out but they tolerate each other now. Maybe wait a little longer unless it looks like one would literally kill the other.

Well, after church today I went and picked up the fish trap, and by the time I got home the Exquisite had been beaten to within an inch of his life. I have him in the acclimation box now, and am not sure if he is going to make it or not. I did manage to catch the male Pyles, and will try to catch the female over the next few days.
