Pyramid snail question

I have a quick question about pyramid snails. I havnt seen any on my clams yet but can they live on regular snails. I have seen a couple of them ( what I belive are pyramid snails )on some of my snails. I have been pulling them out and pulling them off of them but Im not sure if they are or not. I mostly want to kill them off before they get to my clams if they are that is why Im asking.

i have seen them wondering about in the tank before. At night they will get real active.

yes, there are loads of species of pyramid that can / will after snails as well as loads of other critters. i would keep yanking them, whenever you see one.

could be rissoid snails - benign and harmless.

I thought (could be wrong) that the types that are parasitic to snails do not suddenly develop the ability to be parasitic to clams.

thoughts anyone?
