Pyramid Snails -- Dying Astrea and Acans/Favia/Candy Cane

Well I have been trying to figure out what has been killing off my astrea snails.

I have finally figured out that it is pyramid snails now that I have identified them on my crocea clam.

Do pyramid snails also eat corals? I have two candy cane corals that are starting to disappear and both my acan and favia frags were killed within three days of being introduced into my tank.

What is the best type of wrasse to help eradicate this problem?

The tank size is 28 Gallons so it would have to be a smaller wrasse. Other fish are pair of black ocellaris, purple firefish, and a yellow watchman goby.

10 - 12 blue leg hermits
lots of various corals, mostly zoas.
a few nassarius snails and a few cerith that seem untouched by the pyramid snails.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I had a possum wrasse that was a stone cold pyramid snail eater...6 line and 4 line should also work.

A wrasse will not eradicate your problem quicly enough to save your animals though. You will need to manually remove them night ly from your clam and check your snails as well. I agree they will not eat corals.
