Pyramid snails eating my milli

Just to add to the list of annoyances.....
I have very healthy acros, montis and millies.
One of the milli branches was losing tissue. Just one small stalk, one inch long. I checked it out and it had actuall started on one side of the base.
Naturally, I got paranoid about the water quality and buggy wuggs.
Shined the light on it last nite at 1AM. Lo and behold six pyramids were all gathered on the area and having a feast.
I am sure the chicken and egg question arises.....Were they eating dead tissue or healthy. My vote is for healthy. I removed 4 of them, two fell to the bottom of the tank. Tonight I will check again.
It is just so weird that they all crawled to this one inch of territory so high up in my rockwork. And my clam and turbos look fine!
Googled "pyramids eating acros" and found nothing which makes me think I am probably wrong.
