We have 6 clams in our tank and most of them have pyramid snails. He have for several months now taken 4 of the clam out of the tank to clean it w/ a tooth brush to get the snails off (the other 2 we clean in the tank since they are attached to rock). But can't seem to rid tank of the problem.
Are there any fish that eat the snail eggs? If we remove the clams from the tank are there other host for these snails to stay alive? If not how long do you think they would need to be out of the tank before putting them back in the tank?
Also any suggestions on how to get 4 inche clam unattached from a rock?
