Can anyone recommend any ways of disposing of these little b@$t@rds. I just pulled off about fifty in a couple of days. I have ordered a sixline wrasse and have placed the clam on a pvc pedestal. Any thing else I can do?

manual removal is one of the best and most effective ways to remove them. Use a soft bristle brush and make sure you get the eggs if there are any visible.

sorry to hear that man- check all the nooks and crannies in and around the area where you had that clam. there could be more.

do as concept said, about an hour or two after lights out, the snails will hide under the clam when the lights are on. its best to do this out of the tank and give him a good rinse with tank water before putting him back in. you will have to repeat this every day or two at first, decreasing frequency as you notice the population diminishing

Problem is that the snails are nocturnal so they come out when the six line is wrapped in his slime cacoon.

The only way to get rid of them is daily removal by hand. I used to take the clam out and use a new toothbrush to brush them off.

Now my tank is barebottom so theres no sand for them to hide in. :)
