Pyramids w/o hosts?

Does anybody know how long they can live w/o a host?

I had them on my Astrea snails. About 2 weeks ago I removed the Astrea snails and physically removed all the Pyramids from each and moved to a 10 QT tank.

How much longer should I wait before adding them back to my display?

what do pyramids look like? i have somthing really weird on a snail in my tank

They look like really small (about 1/8") cerith snails, but white shells. If you go to Google and do a search for images, you should find photos.
