Q tank light system for clams

Due to the ongoing battle with pinched mantel I am going to add a significant light system for my 20 gallon Q/hosiptal tank...any suggestions, it has to be potent enough to keep maximas and large croceas alive for about a month...I have considered T5, VHO, and Halide...I think I could get away with T% or vho for around 160 bucks for a complete retrofit kit. but then Ill have to reacclamate the clams back to 250 DE lighting....I may goahead and purchase a 250 halide pendant system for one anyway....

For the price of a 24inch 4 tube VHO or t5 retrofit I can purchase the halide system, and wont have to worry about reacklamating my clams to diffetent light systems....as far as heat no big deal Ill hang it about a foot over the 20 gallon....plus I can use it for a emergency backup....

Im also looking for a pendant for my hostipal tank. Dont want to have to reacclimate the clams to different lighting. Currently they are under a 150 de 10k w/ 2x65watt actinics. With this new light just being a pendant, should the bulb be 10k or 20k.? Also since this will be a new light, and my other is about 6 months old, Im just going to hang the pendant a little higher. If I stayed with the 10k would a NO 20watt actinic do? the hostpital tank will be a standard 10 gallon.
