Hi, I routinely QT fish for 30 days before entry into my show tank. I am buying a few discoma and a toadstool and have a QT set up with a canister filter and 60 W of flourescent lighting on a 20GL tank. Any opinions on QT corals? Is it worth the trouble? I had an outbreak of ich in my tank previously and I'm concered about parasites entering on the rock the corals are attached to.

While it's possible that ich or other parasites could come in with the water/rock used to transport the coral, it's generally a good idea to QT coral anyhow. Keep an eye on it for flatworms, aiptasia, bryopsis or other unwanted pests that may hitchhike on any rock or rubble they're attached to before putting it into your display.
