What is the systematic approach to a quarantine tank? My understanding is that after I've successfully quarantined my first livestock, I disinfect the tank, fill it and then can place my next batch in? For example, a CUC, without cycling the tank first if I include a piece of Marine Pure from my DT into the QT? After I've had them in quarantine for at least 2 months, I can add them to the DT? Then start all over again for my next fish? And I'm guessing that I'll have to discard the slab of Marine Pure so that it doesn't carry any nasties over to my next batch of quarantined livestock? On average about 3 months between adding new stock to the DT?

QT question

Personally, I have a Biocube 29 that I leave up. I have used this for a fish observation tank after TTM/prazi. It's primary purpose is coral/invert QT. Everything (non-fish) sits for 76 days before it goes in the DT. No reason to break it down, the 76 days fishless makes sure everything bad dies.

Different people have different systems. I am a big fan of TTM. Of course, those tanks get rinsed out and dried between uses.
