QT Tank Stock List?

Contemplating an order from liveaquaria.com and I'm wondering if I am being a bit too overzealous here:

  • Gold Assessor
  • Helfrichi Firefish
  • Small Flasher Wrasse (LA says 30 gallon minimum DT)

My QT is 10 gallons and I recently seeded the tank with BIO-spira, bio-media & water from a friend's established reef tank.

I saw a bump in all parameters after adding BIO-spira (ammonia, nitrite & nitrate) and it has since gone down to 0 across the board. Thoughts?

If they are only in it temporarily tank size doesnt matter

So that stock list wouldn't create an unmanageable bio load? I will do water changes as needed based on the water parameters but I'd prefer to have 2-3 days between water changes.

Do one fish at a time. 3 fish is a lot to add to a tank at one time. Once you transfer one from qt to your dt start the next fish in your qt.

Seeding is not the same as cycling.

If you feed the bacteria first likely bio load will not be the issue.

Only if a drug that interferes with nitrification has to be used would bioload during qt be a concern.
