Hi All

Im new to the hobby and my main tank has developed Ich :(

I have just set up a 35 qt tank to treat my clown for ich as he is my only fish and i need to do it in the qt tank as i have invertabrates in my main.

However i added 2ppm of pure ammonia on wednesday to my qt to make sure it would be okay to put my clown straight in and its still reading 2ppm now 3 days later :(

What can i do, i don't live anywhere near a aquatics store either :(

Unless you used tank water and some sort of media from display there will be no denitrifying bacteria. You don't need a cycled tank for qt. Search ttm method.
