QTing a single clown

How long can I keep a black ocellaris alone in quarantine without him turning into a female? He's absolutely tiny right now (likely sexless, in fact) and about 1/6th the size of my onyx percula female I plan on pairing him with. Really tiny thing. Do I need to worry at all given his size?

At that size, The full 30 day QT is fine.

Great . Also, I'm wondering about his mouth. He's got torn fins and things, so I don't know if this is a deformity or a wound.

Considering there's discoloration, maybe he just got a bite taken out of him? He's able to eat just fine, btw.
