Quantity Discounts on Inverts

I notice on your livestock inventory list that we can combine some livestock for quantity discounts.

When I try to order online the prices do not reflect the discount however.

For example:

8 Nassarius
8 Cerith
8 Nerite

I do not get the 24 price. The price does change if I enter 12 for a single species.

Also do $3 scarlet crabs and $2.99 Trochus snails count as the same price, that is if I order 6 of each do I ge the 12 price?

What is the best way to order these to get the right price, email, phone, make a comment in the comment box, or do you change the price automatically before you make up the invoice?

Also, while I am at it. Is it still OK to ship snails 2 day? What about the scarlet hermits? How about mithrax and sally Lightfoots (or is it lightfeet)?

Thanks,
Dave

BTW: Love the rock I got a few weeks ago.

Hi Dave,

Sorry the website was not figuring the qty discounts for you. If you want, go ahead and submit the order as is, and we'll make the adjustments for you once it comes through.

The Scarlets and Trochus are figured separate, and not able to mix and match on those.

We always recommend a one day transit no matter what you are shipping live, however the majority of the time inverts will fair just fine going two day.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I ordered some crabs and snails. They should be arriving today. I assume they are being shipped without water and was wondering if you can recommend an acclimation procedure. I will not be using quarantine, so they will be going directly in the main tank. I am not sure how to deal with the waterless shipment. I checked your website but could not find any information there regarding this point. It may be there but I could not find it.

I am getting conflicting advice and was wondering your recommendation. Some say just drop them in. Others say normal acclimation procedure, which doesn't make sense if they aren't in water to begin with.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

Some items will come bagged in water and some won't. We have always tanked all of our inverts immediately in our system that come in dry shipped to us. All of our animals that are shipped in water we acclimate.

Thanks again!
Jeremy

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know the Emeralds, Scarlet Hermits, Ceriths, and Nerite snails are doing fine. The Trochus Snails are fantastic, they went right to work one on the glass and two mad eit to the top of the rockwork no hesitation.

The Nasarrius however, didn't seem to fare as well. I choose two day shipping and that may have been too much for most of them. A couple may have submerged in the sand but I can only account for 1 definite survivor. They looked like empty shells in the bag, but I put them in the tank anyway. I will see if any more show themselves but I am doubtful. I made the choice of shipping so I am not blaming you. Just thought you might like the feedback.

I will repeat that the Trochus Snails are great, my kids love them along with the hermits and the emeralds.

Dave
