quarantine for detrivore kits?

New to the hobby - going DIY all(most of) the way. Ready to seed my tank with life from ipsf. The company recommends adding directly to the tank after acclimation.

I already have a quarantine setup ready for fish - how do I quarantine live sand, wondermud, and worms?

This what the Ipsf kit contains:

6 baby bristle worms
6 sandbed clams
6 neirte grazers
6 Adult Strombus Grazers
live Sand activator
tang heaven red,
tang heaven green
wondermud,
6 microhermits
coralline Algae booster,
6 Mama mia worms
6 sandbed clams

I've read extensively on quarantining fish, corals - not much info on live sand, detrivores. Is it indicated and how long?
Any help would be appreciated.

Since you are just starting out and they are a reputable company, you don't have to quarantine anything.

However, anything you add afterwards, you would have to be suspicious of. For example, there are little pyramid shaped snails that hitchhike on other snails. Most people think they are harmless baby snails. In fact, they are parasites.

Assuming you are planning on adding live rock, I would wait and add the kit afterwards, that way, you'll have something for the critters to munch on or filter feed.

Best of luck,

Roy
