Quarantine or let him be?

The cyborg reefer
A few days ago I came home to my crosshatch trigger buried in a reef slide (I suspect he was chasing a shrimp). I had thought I had everything very stable, but well.. yea.

Anyway, over the last few days his face has healed up, but his eyes haven't. I'm undecieded if they are worse or not. Until this morning, I could still get him to eat (but not his usual piggy self) but today he won't budge from the spot in the pic and shows no interest in food.

There is nothing in the tank anywhere near his size, and no one is bothering him. Should I pull him out (and risk more stress) and perhaps a round of anti biotics, or just let him rise it out for a while.

His eyes are cloudy, I think one is scratched. I can't tell if they are bulging or not, but I think a bit. Also, it would most likely be a major undertaking to get him out, involving quite a bit of deconstruction of my tank.

Well, If your water quality is up to speed, say,a 68 426 GTX in the QTmile, then i would just let him/her be.Tearing the tank apart will probably cause more problems than it solves.

Maybe a couple of high quality water changes,(our patent answer to every saltwater problem)would be in order. And then, just let nature take its coarse. If she dosent feel like eating, its because she dosent feel good, give her/him a little time.

FWIW,left the US Army,i sold my 70 AAR Cuda,383,pistolgrip 4speed for $1100.00.Still kicking myself!Best of luck.

Did a 35 gallon water change last night. Water quality is a bit off due to his being a very messy eater, and just adding a whole mess of stuff from another tank, but not bad. More is being made currently

ni blow the scale on my test kit.. but something
NA 10-15

I also just added almost 50 pounds of live rock, and a half dozen fish (basically bought everything inside a guys tank). The deal was already done before this issue, and so its all in my tank, as I had no where else set up to handle it.

And ahh for the cars we let go. My 'one that got away' was in the late 80's after high school. Had a '69 Super bee w/ a 440. Sold it for like $500 because I couldn't afford the gas.. Current babys include a '66 Dart thats a daily driver (and 32 mpg to boot) and a 12 second '65 Polara... nothing like the 1/4 mile in comfort.
