Quarantine Question!

Hi all,

I had a quick question, and was wondering if anyone had any words of advice. I currently have a 35 gallon FOWLR that has live sand, and ~35-40 lbs. of live rock. Ammo is undetectable, NO2 is 0, and NO3 is at 20ppm (I am going to do a water change in couple days). I only have one firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica) in my tank. My entire live stock really only plans to consist of the firefish, two ORA's, one Royal Gramma, and two peppermint shrimp (I am aiming for a relatively low bio-load).

I have a 10 gallon quarantine (QT) tank ready to go and was wondering if it would be okay if I just quarantined the two ORA's and the Royal Gramma at the same time. I figured I'd QT them for no less than two weeks, and introduce them into my larger system providing everything is in check with them.

thanks in advance

cheers!

ORA Percs? A 10 might be a little small for fish QT. Don't get me wrong, I've done it myself, however you have to be on it as far as H2O quality. Everyday inspections topoff etc. It helps if the tank is a little mature as well.

I would advise you take it slow.

Okay, thanks for the feedback! And yeah, I was thinking about two ORA percs. They don't look longer than 1.5 in. in the store.
I know a ten isn't super ideal as a quarantine tank, but I have three lying around the house doing nothing, haha.
Not having time to test the water is not something i am worried about. I will be using a mature sponge filter in the Q. tank and I test my water everyday anyhow.
Evaporation is minimal because I have an all-glass cover on the stop of the tank - the only opening in top is a small slot for the heater cord and airline tubing to make it into the tank.
