Quarantine ???

I recently treated a Hippo Tang for ich in a 10 gallon QT. How long do you keep in quarantine after the fish no longer shows signs off ich? Thanks in advance.

What did you treat with? I ask because that will dictate how long you need to go. After treatment is complete I would observe for a total of 4 weeks

I used Cupramine. The fish has been clear of all visible signs of ich for a few days. I was planning on keeping him in for 4 weeks. Just making sure this is long enough.

Did you treat for 30 days? If so another 4 weeks will suffice

With copper you also need to be sure you never dipped below the minimum dosage.

Thanks. I did not treat for 30 days. It has only been a week. All visible signs of ich are gone. So I guess I'll treat for 30 days then keep in QT for another 30. This is my first battle with ich and definitely do not want to hurt my DT. I'm in no hurry.
