Queen Angel Need Helps

I have a queen angel almost 3 years leaving in my Fish only tank. She used to eat fish pellet like a hungry ghost. Out of sudden, she was losing appetite, almost 2 months ago.

I suspect she has been intimidated by other large angel. So I took her out, and isolate her in a quarantine tank. Almost been a week, but she still doesn't much improvement.

I have treated her with AZOO Arowana Vitamins (2 ml/15 liters) which contain B6, also added Kanamycin. Before this I have tried praziquantel & Octozin.

Did 100% water change every 3 days.

Could anybody help to advice, anything else I should try, please?

Were any new fish added around the same time she started losing her appetite? Any visible symptoms of disease since that time?

Right now the medications you listed could be suppressing her appetite even further. I would stop adding them until you can confirm what you're treating for. To get her to eat again, try raw clams or mussels. Or trying soaking her food in garlic.

From what I understand, your fish, based on appearance, has not been getting a proper and varied diet. This may have caught up to you now. What were you feeding?

I don't know if it's the photo, but your queen angel looks small for a 3-year-old fish. How big is the fish exactly and what sized tank was it in?

I agree with all posts above. A QA being intimidated by anything says something is out of whack. (Why isn't anything "in whack"?)

If not other disease, then should be HLLE. Maybe you are right, not been getting a proper and varied diet.

She is only 4.5 in, very slow grown since I bought it. Compare with others tank mate, almost double in size. I feed her with mixture of pallet(Hikari Lionhead & New Life Spectrum Thera A Formula) , weekend add in Zeo, ZOECON & Two Little Fishes Sea Veggies Purple + Green.

Could you please help to advice, what is the diet that you gave to your fish?

Still hope to save her.

Your diet sounds fine although it could use a little more protein such as mysis shrimps.

How big is your tank? If the angel is only 4.5" even after three years, it's an indication that it's under environmental stress and is not growing. For your information, large Caribbean angels like Queen or French grow very fast in the right environment. In three years your queen angel should have grown to at least 10-12" already.

A queen angel should be in at least an 8-foot, 300 gallon tank for long-term care.

Thanks! My DT is 150G now, planning to upgrade it to 300G soon.
Any idea what sponges that angel like most? Because I try a gray & blue color sponges harvest from my friend's SPS tank, my angel doesn't see that as a food.

Since your QA has been in captivity for so long, I doubt it's going to eat wild sponges anymore.

It sounds like your QA was under significant stress, from the fact that it didn't grow over 3 years. How was your water quality? Specifically, what is your nitrate reading? What are the dimensions of your 150g?
