Queen Angelfish and Flame Angel

I recently added a Juvenile Queen Angelfish (about 2.5 inches) to my 100 gallon reef tank. Immediately the Flame Angelfish, (3 inches) began pestering the little Queen. Not a major attack but constant assault none the less. The Queen has been in quarantine for a month and is eating both freeze dried sea weed and spectrum pellets well.

Shortly after the Flame Angel took notice my Achilles Tang went to town. Any ideas on how I should proceed. I assumed the Flame would leave the Queen alone since one is a Centrofyge angel and the other is not.

Do you think given some time to establish territories the bullying towards the Queen angel will stop?

In time they may stop, might not. I'd eggcrate off he queen so they all can get familar with each other without doing any damage. There's also the mirror trick but unthinkable that causes too much stress. I hope your upgrading soon, the queen may be small now but neither her or an Achilles belong in a 100g.

I kept an Achilles for many years and it never did handle any stress very well; it would stop feeding every time a fish was added, for example.. The Queen needs a much larger tank and (IMO) 100 gal is barely big enough for the Achilles. I think you are looking at real trouble down the road. As for the Flame: they are very territorial and do best when they are the last fish introduced; the Queen will learn its place for now---but in time, will be the big bully in the tank.
