question about Coalife power center

Ok I bought a coralife power center the one with the single dial on it. The thing is I cant seem to get it to work when i set the switch to the timer setting and set the clock to the correct time the dial doesn't seem to move. I thought it was broke so i returned it,and now with the second one that i have it does the same thing. Now I am assuming I am doing something wrong anyone have similiar problem, please help.

Hmm, that product seems to have drawn a number of complaints. I just use timers from Home Depot (Intermatic, I think) and find them very reliable and easy to use.

Never had a problem with the timers just the switches are unreliable and tend to stick in the on position. This is a really dumb question but are you sure the outlet its plugged into has power and the power switch on the unit is on?

those units have been known to start a fire. just a little fyi.

I have a couple of these. They're not rock solid but useable. If you think its defective too, for a few dollars more I'd try the digital version.

After I beat my second one with an algae scraper ( honestly ) its worked flawlessly.
