OK,
well a while ago i got the D50 from Ritz camera and they had this deal where you could buy the camera and all the extras (case to put it in.. insurance,, memory card)... and if you didnt like it.. you had 10 days to bring it back.. SO anyway i got it like 2 weeks before christmas to see if i really wanted it... and it really did take good pics.. but i returned it thinking i wouldnt use it enough.. anyway now im wishing i had gotten it.. and i realized B&H has really good prices.. (one of the reasons i returned it)... so anyway i was thinking of getting the deal w/ the the 2 lens'

There isn't one listed under the Item Includes section, so no, it doesn't include a card.

As for the lens, I doubt you will be happy with using either of the lenses for macro work...neither are macro lenses. The closest distance on the 55-200 is 3.1'. For a decent macro lens, you're looking at 3-4 hundred bucks. If it's important to you, you might want to get just the body and a macro, or possibly one other more general lens (althoughy many of the macro lenses can be used for more general uses).

In a pinch, you could put a closeup diopter (thin filter that screws onto the end of a lens to reduce the minimum focusing distance) on one of the general lenses. I use one on a 50mm (a great $100 lens) and get ok results.

thank you.. that was the answer i was looking for.. you know thats a great idea of getting just the body and then a Macro Lens.. thank you

I've the Nikon D50 and which macro lens do you recommend that is reasonable in price and it doesn't have to be a Nikon brand? TIA.

Sigma and Nikon both make a very nice 105mm macro, Nikon has it in a VR version in addition. Think the Sigma is ~$450 and the Nikon us ~$650 with the VR at ~$850. The VR is really nice for macro work, but kinda pricey.
