Question about live rock

Hoping maybe you can answer a question about your live rock for me. I haven't started yet (I have to do some rearranging and moving critters around first) but perhaps if things work out right I'm hoping to start up some type of 2ft cube tank. Either 2ftx2ftx2ft (LxWxH) or 2ftx2ftx18" and anyway at least for the time being my current idea for it is to set it up sort as a lagoon style tank. And, what I'd like to do is just have one single giant rock as the majority of the rockwork, or a couple big rocks (I like doing biotope stylish tanks, and trying to make this one look sort of along the lines of a "coral island" where a couple pieces of rock have broke off a much larger reef structure).

So I've been looking at your Kaelini and Timora rock and wondering if you can help me get an idea of just how much rock (weight) I should be looking at? Back when I set up my current tank years ago I got all the rock locally (which I can't even do that anymore, nobody sells rock here, not even base rock) and it wasn't exactly light and porous stuff. Pretty dense, so I'm having a little bit of trouble getting an idea just how much the sort of pieces I'm thinking of would weigh.

Hi,

AS a rule of thumb, we recommend 1 to 1.5 lbs per gallon for the bio load, then after that more for personal taste in aquascaping.

Getting one really big or couple large pieces usually is not a problem. Would be hard to say on the weight though. Often the really big rocks can get pretty dense and heavy, so might even up getting more total weight going with super large pieces.
