Question About My Bubble Anemone

I've had a small bubble anemone in my tank for almost a month. I don't have any clowns yet to host inside of it but i do see that it gets food. I've noticed that on one side of it two or theree of the tips are smaller and almost a faded whit looking color. I'm not sure if it's sick or what, or if this is something i don't need to worry about. Can anyone help? Sorry but i have no pics to post....

Here is a pic. If you look at the bottom of the Anemone to the left you can see what i'm talking about.

looks pretty healthy to me, those tips are just deflated of water, when they suck up water they should bubble up again.
i got a BTA as well and as soon as the lights go out the tentacles instantly deflate but they bubble up again a while later after they adjust to the lights being turned off.

how long has it been like that?Is that a crevice that it's sitting in?

Yes, i sat him on a flat piece of the rock then he moved a couple of inches into the crevice and has been there ever since. He seems fine and gets feed. Just curious as to if he is ok where he is or if i should move him. He has looked alot better the past couple of days.....

Mine turns white when I am feeding him plenty and he is getting enough light, I've cut back my halides and slowed his feeding so he is darkening in color now.

ive read a few websites on anemones and i got a few questions about your anemones guys . . .

1. Is it normal to have some tentacles look dead or like they are withered and then 10 mins later look full of life???
2. Is it normal to open right up like a flower, mine opens like a flat disc???
3. Is it normal when only actinics are on that you have more bubbles on the tips and its closes???
4. Are tentacle suppose to be totally covering the face plate of the anemone, mine has a 1cm rim around the mouth without tentacles ???

I would leave him, if he gats unhappy for whatever reason he will move himself to where he see's fit. Just make sure you have no open pump/ power head inlets as when he moves he's doing it by brail and it will take you longer to process what's going on than it will for him to become puree in your tank!

Have had my current one about a year. Relating to your questions, questions 1-3 are summed up with normal expansion/ contraction and panning for light/ searching for food (as well as being irritated by pesty clown fish at times). At times mine opens like a disk, then a cone (typically at feeding time) and sometimes both. When the clowns are bickering mine will even roll himself up like a ball untill the clowns have kissed and made up.

Question 4, Your anenome is normal.
