Question about order...

Capt. Nemo,

It is difficult to compare coloration as variables such as diet, lighting and collection location may have an impact on the color. The Harlequin Tusks in the Diver’s Den appear to be more light blue in color.

Hi Ginger,

Does the age of the fish also play a role in how bluish they are? It seems that the larger Tusks I have come across are more blue than the younger and smaller ones. I also know that the Australian Tusks are more colorful than their Indo counterparts. I dont quite follow what you said about the Tusks in DD appear to be more light blue in color. Are you saying that the current Tusks in Diver's Den are more or less blue than the Tusks in Diver's Den from yesterday that were sold or compared to the Tusks you have at LA? Thanks again!

Capt. Nemo,

Thank you for your reply. The information we had gathered from our Aquaculture Facility hadn’t compared our current selection to previous offerings. At this time our Aquaculture Facility is unavailable, so we will be contacting them on Monday and posting here once we have ascertained this information.

Capt. Nemo,

Thank you for your question. When the Harlequin Tusk age the back half of the body darkens to a dark blue/purple color. The Harlequin Tusk from Australia generally have a thick blue posterior bar while from Indonesia their markings are more white in pattern. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Jaimie,

Thank you very much for your assistance. I am very impressed with the level of customer service that is provided by LA. I was told that there will be Australian Harlequin Tusks available this week at Diver's Den while another group of Aussies are available at LA. Could you tell me what criteria or factors go into deciding which ones are selected for Diver's Den while others go to the LA website? Are the ones at DD the creme of the crop so to say?

Thanks,
Gary

Capt. Nemo,

You are absolutely correct. The best possible representations of the species are chosen for the Diver’s Den. The Diver’s Den is intended to offer the most striking specimens we can receive from our sources.

Yoboyjdizz,

Thank you for your patience. The Achilles Tangs will not be available on our LiveAquaria site for some time. However, the good new is that we expect a few of these beautiful fish available in our Diver’s Den after the 1st of November.

Thank you for your question. We spoke to our Aquaculture Coral and Marine Life Facility in regards to the Achilles Tang. This beautiful specimen will become available for order towards the end of this week or the beginning of next week.

Yoboyjdizz,

We apologize; all Diver's Den® items must be shipped within 2 shipping days of placing your order. However, if you place an order on a Thursday after our 9:30 a.m. CST cutoff and do not request or pay for Saturday delivery your order will not ship until Monday. You may also request that we do not authorize your order until Monday morning so that you may add items to your order over the weekend.
