Question about Philips Advance MH Ballast???

Hello,

So I have been looking around at ballasts and came across these a couple times. They do not look like normal ballasts. They look a lot smaller and completely different design. Are these OK to run a 250w MH with? I will be using Mogul base with batwing reflectors. I just never saw these before and the price difference makes me wonder. Any experience with these or input is appreciated.

The one I found looks like a magnetic ballast (ANSI M58 - Probe Start) and should be fine for some bulbs. Cross reference with this page and see what bulbs will work http://www.aquarium-lighting-guide.com/metal-halide-ansi
