Question about quarantine method

I was wondering about quarantine methods, and have a quick question... I have a refugium and was curious about whether it can be used as a quarantine spot... Mainly concerned about the quarantine of Tangs... I have some natural red seaweed in there, so that would be a good food source while they are in there... I am just wondering if ICH can travel to the display

Yes, Ich and many other creatures that the tangs may carry will travel to the display. (Remember that it has a free swimming stage to its life cycle.) If you are only worried about shipping stress inducing disease it is an OK option - but if you are worried about introducing ich, the tanks must be separate. Though I have never seen Ich kill an established fish.
