i have had a new vrolik's wrasse in qt for several days now. he's been doing great, eating like a pig.
yesterday, i picked up a small hob filter for some more water movement. i put it in the tank (with the charcoal filter) and within an hour, my wrasse was laying on the bottom acting like he was gonna give up the ghost. he stayed that way for a couple of hours but did come up long enough to grab a few pieces of mysis.
i took the charcoal filter out, did a quick water change even though ammonia was 0 and within an hour or so, he was back to his old self, swimming all over the tank and begging for food.
could the charcoal have had something to do with this behavior?? he's fine today, out and about and he just scarfed down a few NLS pellets.
