Question on RO/DI

I bought a huge RO/DI unit that came with the storage tank. (6 stage)

MY question is- what water is the type to use for the fish?

The kit came with a faucet water dispenser that goes to the sink. The water that goes through there gets pushed through a flavor and odor removal stage.

There is another water release that just has a simple valve that the water gets pushed through what I think is the DI part of it (you can see the chamber it goes through and its filled with little beeds tthat are green right now?

Which one do I use for the fish? Both waters taste fine.

Might want to post this in the reef discussion forum. You will get more responses there. Just my opinion, but I don't think you need the flavor and odor removal stage. You could bypass this stage and have your water run through the other stages and it will be fine. You need to find out what type of DI cartridge you have as they are color changing as they exhaust themselves out and knowing what color they are supposed to be before and after exhaustion will benefit your water. Get yourself a TDS meter also to check out your water if this is a used unit you got yourself, because you don't know how much water this unit has treated and they only last for so many gallons. Good investment for $25 or so.

The two different outputs get put through 2 different last stages-

The one that is meant for drinking water goes through the taste and odor removal-

The one with just a hose shut off valve goes through the resin.

Thats what I wanted to check :)
