Question regardin mp40 es

I ordered 2 of these and recieved em today . Make date is January /2014
But however packing is completely different from what it use to be . It's packed in a small box sealed . Also didn't find any spacers And the box says mp 40 w ed but on the controller it's only printed W . Is it normal
