Question regarding pulse mode

Hi Roger,
I just received my 2-6100 w/7094 controller from Marine depot and have a question. I was wondering if setting the pulse rate on the 7094 to 1-3 seconds or so would shorten the life of the pump? In other words, would decreasing the pulse lengthen the life of the 6100? Logically, it would seem like the frequent pulsing would wear down the motor. Your thoughts?

No, the computer carefully monitors the pumps movement and because it is not starting or stopping their is no sudden jerking to harm the parts.
