Questions about a bubble coral

I haven't seen one stretch quite as far as in that picture, but mine opens up every night to expose its mouth because it knows when it is feeding time. Have you tried feeding it? Mine likes to eat small chunks of shrimp and silversides. It should immediately close up on the food.

Is it in low light? Low flow?

Mine is under a 150 HQI near the top. It seems to get that big even if I put it lower in the tank. I assumed it was maximizing it's surface area for the light so I moved it up higher. No change.

ive had mine for about 2 years now and it opens that big on a daily basis pretty much ... maybe not as wide open as that but mines a big bubble for sure about 9" in diameter when expanded

i feed mine about once a month if i remember lol and its always done great with just lighting

mine actualy opens wider than the pic sometimes. the lighting is 2x55w pc 10k/actinic, and the coral is right at the surface. i moved it of to the side though, and i'm going to try target feeding more to see if it makes a diferance.

My bubble coral is 2 years old and beautiful! While trying to get a fish out of the tank I dropped my net on the coral. Next day it came off of it's rock. Any suggestions on how to get him back on a rock?
