Questions about live brine shrimp.

I just bought some brine shrimp from my LFS to feed my fish. I called and asked the store these same questions but it was a new employee and he seemed very unsure with his answers.

1. How long do live brine shrimp live in the bag?
2. Is there something I can do to prolong their expiration date? ex. Place an air stone in the bag?
3. Are these freshwater?
4.Should I be worried about the water from the bag going into my tank? How do you transfer them from the bag to your tank?

brine means salt. They first came I think from the Great Salt Lake and do not have quite the same nutrition as ocean marine shrimp.
they will live about as long as a fish in the bag.
an airstone would help.
you can pour the water and shrimp into a net and put them all in at once.
