Questions about my sump/ fuge

I have a 29 g baffled- in from the dt and skimmer/ fuge/ return. I had been dealing with cyano in the sump so I used a powerhead in the fuge area and it dramatically went down. But I had to pull the powerhead to mix salt. In that time I found hundreds of pods on my glass- I knew they were there, just didn't realize how many. I want to start harvesting them for the DT. I've read that some people just use an air pump to keep the cheato rumbling and for water movement at the surface. Is this true? I figure it won't disturb the pods much, and I do plan on getting a mandarin in the future. I'm not afraid of cyano- somehow it stays in my sump, helps keep levels low. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

That's what I figure. I just didn't know if an air pump with bubbles was a good way to go for the macro. It kinda tumbles, but are there any longer term effects- like too much aeration? Would air going throught he macro caus the pods to move out or ultimately die? I've had good luck with a maxjet and I could always put that back in once my water change is done tomorrow. Just looking for suggestions.
