Questions on 40g high

I have 40 g high sitting around empty. Would a 150W 14,000K MH be enough light for this depth to keep corals? Would a protein skimmer, 50 lbs of LR, and a biowheel be enought filtration?

Would this be an ok tank for marine fish? I thought I heard longer tanks were better for them..

Just trying to get a cost together, I am thinking about starting it up. I need professional help for my addiction.

Sure Hick, but I'd look at one of the HOB skimmers over the biowheel. You don't need both. Just send me a third of the money you save for the suggestion.
