So I took about a 10 year break. I just picked up a 90 gal cube reef from some one getting out of the hobby. It came with a reefbreeders photon v1. The light looks pretty bright but some of the blue leds are toast on it. now I can replace the leds no problem or buy a new one.
However I have no idea how LED compares to metal halide and t5's or pc'c or any of the lights my antiquated self is used to dealing with.
So my question is How much led wattage do you need? whats the crossover to MH and if I do get another one where do I find good led lighting and what am I looking for in a light. Wattage manufactures options ETC
