Ive had these scolys all for over a year, and they are all opening their mouths and not closing. What is this a sign of? Everything else in tank is fine, and parameters are fine. Also, just bought an open brain. Do they need to be fed? Im pretty sure they dont, but just double checking

The Scoylias may be hungry try dropping some fish pellets onto the mouth they should devour in a minute and the brain you can also feed pellets once a week for the brain maybe one silverside thats what I do. Also only when the lights are out because your fish will get the idea that your Scoly/brain may have food on them only night time. You don't want a Skelton one day :) hope this helps they look absolutely fine.

Thanks thats what I was thinking, I tried to feed the green one, put some small NLS pellets in its mouth but it wouldnt close :( Going to try again shortly now that its dark

Are your fish raiding their food from their mouths? We had a couple of scolys that we caught fish stealing food from their mouths and they gaped like that for a few weeks. We started feeding them right when lights went out so they would have all night with no fish stealing from them. Seemed to help. Good luck!

I dont usually feed them, havent in at least a year. I did notice that my clown has been picking at its mouth lately though, so you may be onto something.
