Queston about the ID section.

Is there any way you can submit opinions about these stupid ID sections. Most of the time its just people looking to get their own pieces ID'ed. Rarely is there someone that goes out of their way and into the ID section to help people out. I mean, I do it sometimes because I know how dead the section is.

Yeah same. But are you more likely to help them if they posted in the zoanthids forum or the zoanthid ID forum.

Most people obviously "hang out" in the Zoanthids forum (rather than the ID section). Which is why I think there will be more accurate, faster, and MORE answers/IDs.

because most don't bother to see the sticky section where it says " ZOA ID's here " and rather go straight here on the zoanthid forum where all the traffic is.

I believe that with time, if needed, there will be another way to find that forum. Please don´t be upset because of that. You are doing your part and that should be good enough for now.

Many people are confused by the names, because they are not scientific names, and many people call them different too. I myself would never ask the usual names, because of the many we can find for one zoa type.

Colors are so hard because of the pics/lighting. Depending of the place from light source the color changes too. So...

Hello Kdocimo90, the answer to your question is yes. Right here is the best place to post your opinions on anything. I personally love to hear others opinions. You're right, a lot of people who are into names go to the ID forum as it serves a purpose for those who utilize it. I myself and many others here aren't into names so many of us won't go there. Yet I for one lobbied very hard with the staff and mods to get the ID sub-forum as many members here wanted it and others felt it was necessary. So if rarely you find many reefers there, I don't think it's fair to blame the ID section itself if people don't see or respond to the ID sticky. To be very honest, a lot of people I'm told don't bother to look at any of the stickies. I think posting your concerns as you have done is a great idea as now many will see it and stop by the ID section more often to assist those who need it. If I could help, I would.
