Quick disconnect for 6100

Hi Roger!

Let me run this by you... I really need a way to quickly disconnect the pump from the driver for servicing, which i like to do on a monthly basis. Right now the drive is mounted in an awkward place and makes complete removal very painful. Here is what i was thinking.

Cut the cord that leads from pump to driver and splice a male and female of these to it:

I believe there are 5 wires so it should work. Do you think this is doable. I am sure this voids warranty but the pumps are a few years old anyways.

Thanks!

I have yet to see a quick disconnect that works well and if the cables disconnect while powered the arcing can kill the pump, same of a loose connection. My advise is to remove the lower two side screws of the drive cover, leaving the cover essentially hinged on the top screws, you can then flip it open after powering off the pump and disconnect the internal molex connector for servicing the pump.

That's a great idea ... It's still quite hard to get to in my application but much easier than taking the whole thing out.

Thanks!
